Nina Ricci was born in Turin in January 1883 and opened her own haute couture house in Paris. Success was swift and as a dress designer, Madame Ricci had a wonderful flair for highlighting the personality of her clients. Ricci tried her hand in perfume making with her "Nina" perfume, then introducing "Premier Jour" and "L'Air Du Temps", as well as the popular "Les Belles" line of fragrances.
Nina is a new modern fairytale fragrance aimed at younger audience created by Olivier Cresp and Jacques Cavallier in 2006. It is an elegant floral-fruity fragrance. The fragrance starts with the fresh citrus notes of lemon and lime, giving a spontaneous feel to it. The middle notes have a touch of apple, praline note and vanilla whose opulent veil wraps the softly sweet peony and the Moonflower. It closes with the apple tree, white cedar and balmy musk notes which are sensual. The new Nina fragrance has replaced the old one with the same name, created in 1987.
