Description

Product Description

Get incredible sound at an affordable price with the amazing dB 521, 5 Inch Speaker from Polk Audio. It looks super-stylish and sounds even better. It works well in OEM factory systems, as well as with high-powered aftermarket head units and component power amps.

dB 521 comes with the Dynamic Balance polymer/mica composite mineral filled cone that is stiff yet lightweight for immense sound and little distortion. 19mm liquid-cooled silk/polymer composite dome tweeter with neodymium magnet offers clear and detailed highs. The well-built ABS grilles are computer-optimised and based on exclusive MOMO designs. Pole plate heat sink promotes better heat dissipation for superior power handling and reliability. Flexible woven leads are sewn directly into the spider for greater reliability.

The speaker comes under the Marine Certified Polk db Series and thus is tough enough to withstand the harshest environments. Also, the durable butyl rubber surround won't fall apart under the stress of extreme temperatures.

About the Brand

Polk Audio is a recognized name in audiophile circles. It is reputed to manufacture supreme quality audio products, especially home and automobile speakers. The company also produces a wide range of other audio products such as amplifiers and FM tuners. Headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, Polk Audio was founded by Matthew Polk, George Klopfer and Sandy Gross in 1972. However, in 2006, the company was acquired by Directed Electronics. After spending a short period of time dabbling in Pro Audio, Polk Audio turned its attention to high end home audio. With the release of the first successful model in 1974, the Monitor 7, Polk Audio started to become a reputable name in the audio industry.
