Italian Mario Prada, founder of the fashionable and stylish House of Prada, began the label in 1913. In 1978, Mario’s 28-year-old granddaughter, Miuccia Prada, assumed the reigns and with her impeccable sense of style, moved the house to innovative haute couture. The Wall Street Journal has since named Miuccia one of 30 most powerful women in Europe. Miuccia Prada ventured to fragrance exclusivity in 2003 with Iris, Fleur d’Oranger, Cuir Ambre and Oeillet. Many elegant scents followed, including the Infusion and Tendre lines.
