View AllSorry! Sekonic L-358 Flash Master (Silver) is sold out.
You will be notified when this product will be in stock
The Sekonic L-358 Flash Master (Silver) features an f-stop range of f/1.0 to f/90.9, and a shutter speed range of 30-minutes to 1/8000th-of-a-second (1/1000th in Flash mode). You can display both the f-stop range and shutter speed range in full-, half-, and third-stop intervals for emulating your camera's exposure display. When the mode is set to "full," the exposure is displayed in tenth-of-a-stop increments with repeat accuracy of +/- 0.1 EV. The L-358 calculates cine readings from 2 to 360 frames-per-second particularly for motion picture applications.
The simple solution to creative light control
The directional light performs multiple functions like guiding the viewer, creating the right mood to shoot, and adding dimension, depth, and texture to your images/videos. If you are really keen on taking your photography to the next higher level, you should start focusing on learning off-camera lighting.
Incident Light Metering
The handheld, incident light meters don't require multi-patterned readings, complex exposure control systems, or +/- exposure correction when they fail. To put it in other way, they are the simplest and most direct way for determining exposure. As incident meters measure the light that falls on your subject, they deliver camera settings that render the image exactly the way it appears. There is literally no change in the colours and you can enjoy real-like images. If you wish to judge the brightness of multiple light sources for fast, accurate adjustment of lighting ratios then all you need to do is retract the Sekonic L-358's Lumisphere.
Ambient Light Metering
Take shutter-priority or aperture-priority readings from 30 minutes up to1/8000 second and f/1 to f/90.9 with 1/10-stop accuracy. You can display exposure either digitally or on an analog scale for easy readout. The availability of custom functions prove to be an aid in adjusting the shutter speed and aperture readout for full-, half-, and third-stop increments to copy the setting of your camera. Also, you can modify settings after reading in order to maintain the proper exposure. The extended sensitivity range, EV -2 to 22.9 for ISO 100, lets you take measurements over a wide array of lighting conditions.
Flash Light Metering
You can make shutter-priority readings of flash light with a synch cord or even cordlessly at shutter speeds from 30 minutes to 1/1000 second. To enable quick adjustment of flash brightness, the L-358 automatically resets after each reading in cordless mode.
Also, it has a multi-flash function which is immensely useful in accumulating an unlimited amount of flash pops for instances when a single flash pop cannot achieve the required exposure or the amount of depth of field needed for the subject.
Analyzing Function
Photographers and cinematographers can effectively use the L-358 for on-location shooting to lighten shadows or minimize background detail. Do you know how this small flash meter manages to do so much? It measures ambient and flash simultaneously and then automatically indicates the percentage of flash in the total exposure. To adjust the ambient flash mix, all you are required to do is turn the Jog Wheel. The camera settings are shown on the digital display and an analog display indicates the relationship between ambient and flash and the total exposure.
Contrast Function
If you are looking out for a simplified way to measure the brightness range of a scene or set up lighting ratios, then L-358's contrast function can be of great help. First, you need to take a reading of the key or reference light and press the AVE/ΔV button. Further press the measuring button for displaying the brightness difference between the standard and new reading.
Additional Features:
Built-in Lumigrid for Reflected light metering
Swivel head
9-reading memory plus averaging
Illuminated Data panel
Dust-proof and splash-proof (JIS Standard Water Resistance Class 4)
Cine frame rates from 2 to 360 fps
