Design
This smart and chic clock radio from Sony is compact in design. It can be placed on your bed-side table or any other flat surface and takes up very little space. Weighing a mere 480 g, it comes in a black colour. Backlit LED digits, in amber, glow bright. The side-grilles are arranged to produce good sound, while the buttons are arranged meticulously on the top panel for easy navigation. The roundel for volume adjustment is placed separately on the side panel.
Technical Features
The Sony ICF-C1 Clock Radio comes with AM / FM analogue tuner that is intended to help you enjoy your much-loved radio programmes in the range 87.5-108.0 MHz for FM and 530-1610 kHz for AM channels. The 15 minute /30 minute /60 minute /90 minute programmable sleep timer means that you can peacefully doze off while listening to radio and fall asleep without having to worry about switching the radio off, manually. At the same time, the Sony ICF-C1 blissfully doubles as an alarm clock with progressive volume and extendable snooze. Gradual wake-up alarm ensures that you do not wake with a start. The display brightness may be easily adapted, with 3-step brightness and glare control, to make it soothing for the eyes. The built-in calendar recognises the date the very first time the clock radio becomes operational, and is equipped with automatic daylight saving time adjustment for use across time zones. The product comes with limited 1-year brand warranty.
Power and battery
The Sony ICF-C1 houses a 6.6 cm mono speaker that may produce clear sound with a 100 MW power output. It is compatible with a 220-240 V AC, 50-60 Hz, and CR2032 back-up battery. The clock continues to maintain its time despite power outages by means of the included back-up battery.
