This beautiful projector is not just space economic but is also very light in weight which may count to approximately 2.5 kg (5 lb 7 oz.). Due to its design, it is easy to carry and port. The device incorporates approximately 315 x 75 x 230.5 mm (12 13/32 x 2 15/16 x 9 1/16 inches) of a small footprint.

 

The Sony VPL-DX100 has been engineered with much intelligence. The device is capable of adjusting the brightness of the lamp’s output according to the brightness of the projected image. This adjustment does not strain the eyes of the viewer because the lamp dims by approximately 15% after 10 seconds of a static signal feed. Along with this, if you will leave the projector powered on, after a set period of time, the device will dim the lamp to as low as approximately 30% of original brightness to considerably decrease energy consumption. After which, The VPL-DX100 can also temporarily disable video signal output. This saves unnecessary power consumption while making the device more eco-friendly.

 

The projector incorporates high-performance lamp with an advanced lamp-control technology. This offers a long shelf life of the lamp with a lamp replacement time of 7,000 hours (in low mode). The device comes with an Eco Mode key. You are required to push the Eco Mode button on either the projector or the supplied Remote Commander™ unit and select an energy saving setting from the mode menu to save yourself from paying hefty bills.

 

The Sony VPL-DX100 projector has a speaker of 1 Watt with a power requirement of AC 100 V to 240 V. Along with which it has a variety of interfaces like RGB and HDMI that accepts a variety of input signals.

 

The Sony VPL-DX100 has the unique 3 LCD projection system that includes three different LCD panels. This projection system delivers bright and natural images. These LCD panels use Sony’s BrightEra™ technology with a 3 LCD projection system to offer high picture quality and brightness for the viewer.

 

The Sony projector integrates a 12-bit 3D gamma correction circuitry which is capable of achieving smoother gradations and a richer grey scale. It has a high performance processor for I/P conversion which reproduces smooth, high-quality images.
