There are two known effective routes for delivery of essential oils namely direct inhalation and the other by direct skin contact. Based on the primary delivery routes, different ways of using the nature's gift are designed. They are as under:
1) Inhalation: The most widely used domestic method for experiencing the effects of essential oils is inhalation. Just add a few drops to steaming hot water and inhale the steam.It helps to relive the congestion caused by Colds & Flu and relive a sore throat.
2) Bath: For an Immune stimulant,its useful before infectious illnesess reach their full potential,use few drops in the bath when you begin to feel ill.
3) Body & Foot care: A few drops of desired essential oil can be added to the bath salt before scrubbing.Can also be effectively used to disinfect an ingrown toenail or protect the feet from fungal infections
4) Cuts & Burns: Apply Oil directly to the injury to disinfect,reduce pain and promote healing.
5) Acne treatment: Apply Oil 1-2 drops directly to the affected area using cotton swab and rinse affected area with water.
6) Facial Stem: Apply Oil 1-2 drops directly to the affected area using cotton swab and rinse affected area with water. The Essential oil can be used for cleansing routine during a facial.Just add a few drops to a facial steamer to avoid direct skin application.
Precautions :
1) Skin sensitization is rare,but person with sensitive skin should conduct a patch test before concentrated use.
Contraindications:
1) The oral intake of Tea tree oil is not allowed.
2) Pregnant and breast feeding mothers should avoid using Tea tree oil.
