Synopsis
The IIT Foundation Series Mathematics for Class 9, an
academic book has been designed to provide a clear understanding of the pattern and the concepts critical to succeed in JEE and other talent search exams like NTSE, Olympiads, KVPY etc. Its goal is to provide students with a strong foundation in Mathematics. The core objective of the series is to help aspiring students understand the basic concepts with more clarity, in turn, developing a problem-solving approach. It also encourages students to attempt various competitive examinations from an early age. There are illustrative examples solved methodically to stimulate the minds of the students. The exercises are not only to test the understanding of the students, but also to make it better. Carefully formulated exercise problems encourage the students to think deeply about the steps involved and in the process make the student's understanding of the concept clear. Hints and explanations for key questions along with highlights on the common mistakes that students usually make in the examinations are given too. A special section called Test Your Concepts is provided at the end of every chapter for classroom preparations. There is also a Concept Application section with problems divided as per complexity-basic to moderate to difficult. Finally, supplements for instructors to conduct periodic tests are included too in the book.
