Synopsis
This book shows the glorious rise of Sikhism as writer Anant Pai narrates a story of Sikh heroes who fought against the Mughal Empire. As a religion, Sikhism was introduced as a symbol of bravery when founder Guru Nanak professed he is neither a Hindu, nor a Muslim. Anant Pai perfectly portrayed the cleverness of Bidhi Chand, the reformed robber, who recovered Guru Hargovind Singh's horses from the stables of the Mughals. The bravery of the Sikhs not just heralded the downfall of the Mughal Empire but also the ascent of Sikhs by extending the territory across Panjab till Khyber Pass with the help of Hari Singh Nalwa and Ranjit Singh.
About the Author
Anant Pai was an educationalist and is famous for creating two comic book series named Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle. He was very passionate about publishing and comics and was bestowed the Life Time Achievement Award in the First Indian Comic Convention in the year 2011.
