Where Eagles Dare is a World War II action film released on 4 December 1968. It is directed by Brian G. Hutton and produced by Elliott Kastner and Jerry Gershwin. It stars Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood, and Mary Ure. The entire movie was filmed in Austria and Bavaria. Alistair MacLean wrote the novel and the screenplay at the same time. The movie is about an allied agents who conduct a raid on a castle where the Nazis are holding an American General prisoner.
