Processor is good..runs heavy games but with low resolution (might work well if your graphics card is of high capacity..) And yes!it generates an ample amount of heat..go for nice cooling fans along with it

I recently purchased fx 6300 from snapdeal . Amazing service from snapdeal i got my processor in just 4 days.i order with it asus m5a97 r2.0 which is great combination with this processor.i got very best performance even better then my old i5 3340 which is so expensive then this.in windows 7 i got 7.5 score which is same with i5 3340. But in gaming fx 6300 is superior then i5 3340 i got very high fps on games like bf4 which is using more then 4 cores so 6 core processor is future for gaming . I checked with fraps i got 50 -60 frams per second on ultra settings . It will play gta 5 easily without doubt.im also using for encoding videos which is also better then my expectations. I am very happy to buy this processor.dont compare with it on dual core processor like i3 4150 or better they are drop frams on high end games specialy in bf4.i can say it is better then 4th grnration i5 4440 and if u overclock this beast to 4.2 ghz easily beat i5 4440 in any tearms. Fx series and snapdeal rocks.......

Really awesome processor for gaming

For the first time i thought of using an AMD processor ignoring the fact that Intel has such a reputed hold in the market. The best thing about this processor is the price it comes for and the power it gives you. The base clock speed of 3.5 Ghz is insane which is on power with any high level i3 processors or even entry level i5 processor which in my case are priced much more then this one. The second thing what makes it go beyond the high level i3's and some mid range i5 processor is its unlocked architecture. You can overclock it up to 4.5 Ghz with a good CPU cooler. I am runnning it on 4 Ghz on air cooler (Cooler master 212x) with stable temps. In short this processor is a beast in performance for people who want performance at a cheaper price without compromising on anything. The only issue this processor will give you is the power consumption not much but yea a bit more than intel cpu's and temperatures which can be controlled with a good CPU cooler. Worth buying it.

I ll give first preference to snapdeal in future....

purchased this processor 6 months back. Performance wise not an issue at all. Running all games smoothly at high resolution. Also recommended to my friend who runs Game zone. recently he upgraded to this processor and his customers are happy with performance.

Pros - king of the gpu limited games. gives you as much performance as the i5 or even i7 at 1/2 or 1/3rd the cost! - future proof with 6 cores as apps get increasingly multi threaded - costs just a lil more than the fx 4300 and has lots of l3 cache besides the 2 extra cores Cons Fan noise on load. i doubt the cooler bad's ... need to replace the cpu fan and check.
