This 6-core processor has descent singlethread performance and amazing multithread performace. basically its the best of both worlds. it is very easy to overclock and can be overclocked to 5.0ghz! although ive only taken it upto 4.0ghz (i dont need more power than that). runs 2013-14 games at Full HD with very high or extreme settings and works very very well with design and creation softwares like 3ds Max, Nuke, Houdini, photoshop and illustrator. and no it doesnt run hot.

Hello Guys this is for people who are having random shutdown problems..I have brought this with asus mobo and using it for the past 4 months and experienced problems with respect to shutdowns due to over heating and auto OC.. please remember that asus mobo has to be reseted to default and upgraded to new bios. so that u wont experience any problems. But overall best budget CPU..

Installation is easy and the fan is easy to mount. I haven't tested it for gaming yet, but for normal browsing and word editing, it performs the job well. No glitters while multitasking. CPU temps are good running at 3.5GHz. The only noise noticeable in the machine is the CPU fan noise. It's not too loud but still audible. Windows experience index rates it at 7.4.
