I am using FX 8350 for 2 months now with an Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 motherboard. It was overclocked to 4.2 GHz with the stock cooler. Now I'm using  read more

AMD 8350 Processor

Best VFM processor available. Newer Intel processors offer better performance, but at a much higher cost, and most importantly for me, DO NOT support Windows XP which I still use for some applications. This processor chipset supports Windows XP. Only issue is that in case you plan to overclock, then use a good after-market cooler - it runs hot when overclocked.

The product does its thing but hangs sometimes and also heats so much that computer freezes. yeah but for Home PC or Normal Gaming it does do magic. But the Heat becomes the issue. Need a nice stock cooler and else water cooling is the only way to keep cool

fx 8350 destroys the expensive i 7

got this chip from snapdeal for a much cheaper rate........ pairing it with asrock 970 xtreme 4 mobo and 16gb gskill ddr3 and zotac 650ti 2GB. i had a phenom II 1090t which is now being used as a server .... i mostly use linux (ubuntu, fedora, debian) with kernel 3.6..........for compilations and python parallel programming(multi-threaded) .......and this chip beats the 2600k my colleague has....and my older 1090t by a huge margin. i dont game much just tried borderlands 2, trine 2 and BF3 and this thing hammers the 1090t.........upto 16fps higher on average.... tried overclocking with h80...... 5ghz ......@1.475 with 6 cores enabled 4.5ghz.......@1.400 with 4 cores....................till now heat is negligent since my cooler is an overkill for this chip... Running 8 virtual machines simultaneously with only 6 cores currently....vmware workstation 9.. An extremely powerful chip that has the 2600k and even the 3770k for lunch....and YES its beats the 3570k ivy.... check toms hardware for benches of this chip and you will discover it beats even the previous gen i7 970 in some apps .......i7 970 is a 6 core ...with 12 threads(hyperthreaded) chip. On yes i forgot!!! .......my ram in bios(p2.20) shows freq scaling upto 2400mhz with this chip!!........good one ASROCK!! Dont loose yourself, just buy this chip from snapdeal if you stay far away.....ofcourse if you already have AM3+ mobo ......or are planning to upgrade... Dont listen to the bad reviews .......well there aren't any for this chip .......google search it ..........you will discover --- its a better chip and better architecture than intel's own 32nm manufacturing process......much more refined .....all thanks to AMD breathing down on GLOFo's material science's department.
