He has been the founder-editor of Yojna, and the editor of The National Herald, The Illustrated Weekly of India, and Hindustan Times. In 2007, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award in India from the Indian government. Kamna Prasad is an Urdu activist and film maker in India. She has initiated many activities over the past two decades for the cause of Urdu and the common syncretic culture of India.
