Author Profile

'Ashok Kumar did his B.Tech and M. Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. He joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1989 and has served in various challenging assignments in UP and Uttarakhand. He also served with CRPF and BSF on deputation basis. Presently he is posted as the Additional DG Intelligence and Security, Uttarakhand. He is also the Director, Vigilance Uttarakhand. He received the UN Medal for serving in strife-torn Kosovo in 2001. He was awarded the Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2006 and President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services in 2013. He has authored a book titled Human in Khaki, which received the GB Pant award from the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), MHA.

Vipul is a Delhi Andaman Nicobar Islands Police Service (DANIPS) officer of 2011 batch and is presently the ACP, Economic Offenses Wing, Delhi Police.
