About the Authors

Alexander Anolik, Esq. is president of the largest U.S. law corporation emphasizing the practice of travel law and travel industry litigation. From his San Francisco offices, he has represented thousands of traveling consumers, travel agents, travel suppliers, and government tourism offices throughout his career. His books include The Law and the Travel Industry, the first comprehensive travel law textbook, now in its fifth edition.

Anolik co-founded the International Forum of Travel and Tourism Advocates (IFTTA), a global organization of travel industry attorneys, and served as IFTTA's president for seven years. He has conducted seminars throughout the world on travel, tourism, and hospitality law, as well as travel law classes at Cornell University, Golden Gate University, the University of Hawaii, and San Francisco State University.

Anolik serves as general counsel of the Association of Retail Travel Agents, the largest nonprofit trade association in North America that represents travel agents exclusively. He is co-editor of IFTTA News, a global newsletter for travel attorneys and the former travel law editor for Travel Agent Magazine. He has appeared regularly as a travel law commentator for ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, particularly the shows "48 Hours," "Inside Edition," and "Dateline."

Anolik earned his law degree from the University of California (Hastings College of the Law), with graduate legal studies at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall) and at the Academia Internationalis Lex ex Scientia, The Hague, Netherlands. He is a member of the bar in California and the District of Columbia and is admitted to practice in several U.S. district courts, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Robert H. Bork has served as Solicitor General and Acting Attorney General of the United States, and as a United States Court of Appeals judge. A former professor of law at Yale Law School, he is currently a professor at Ave Maria School of Law, a Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and the Tad and Dianne Taube Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution. Also the author of the bestselling The Tempting of America, he lives with his wife in McLean, Virginia.
