What Is AutoCAD?
AutoCAD is a computer-aided drafting software program used for creating blueprints for buildings, bridges, machine parts and electrical circuits. This software is useful for architects, surveyors and engineers from all field. The six most common specialization areas where AutoCAD plays an important role are mechanical drafting, architectural drafting, civil drafting, electrical drafting, electronics drafting and aeronautical drafting.

Basics
This room will be helpful for students from both engineering and non-engineering backgrounds to start from scratch unlike normal training sessions which gives only the overall picture.
One of the most attractive colors of this room is we try to discuss everything both in English and sometime Hindi also.
This will cover all the basic commands on the basis of AutoCAD menus and that will lay strong foundation which is must for a drafter.
End of every sessions will be followed by creating few drawings with only the commands covered till that point and those drawings will be of the main three branches of engineering - civil, mechanical and electrical.
One presentation will also be provided based on menus in which short cut keys and short cut commands will be included. This will help one to refresh the after some time.
Once the basic commands are over, we will move to advance level page setup, scales, title block creation etc.
Without thorough knowledge in layers and its setting one can’t create a proper civil and mechanical drawing. This is the heart of CAD while creating big and complicated drawings.
Plot and plot settings is another important session which normally people pay less attention. But setting pen thickness and weight is very important in engineering drafting.
Next will be totally on practical side of CAD, which includes how to create plans from elevations, side view of components from its front view, difference between IEC, NEMA standards, batch plotting, converting AutoCAD into PDF etc.
