  • "Keep the photo for your passport or for giving to your granny at Christmas. Don't put it on your CV" - Rachel Hannan, Director, Gatenby Sanderson
  • "Get rid of your prejudice about sponsored links online. If a company is prepared to pay for you to go to their website, then they durely must have something to offer" - Tim Elkington, Managing Director, Enhance Media Ltd.
  • "You actually want a tough interview so you can shine" - Martine Robbins, European HR Director, Cookson Electronics
  • "Excellent preparatin will allow people to see the true you;whereas too much preparatin will look like a performance" - Gareth James, Director, People Plus Ltd.
  • "Remember to apply the 'So What?' litmus test... 'Responsible for a sales team of 20' doesn't tell me anything. 'Recruited, set targets and trained a sales team of 20 over a period of 18 months so that we increased sales by 11% and introduced 2 new product lines' gives me my answer to 'So What?' - Clare Howard, Director of e-coaches.co.uk
  • "You are unique and the skills and experience you have cannot be found anywhere else. get the employer wanting you and a role will be created for you" - Andrew Harris, Matthew Harris Consulting Ltd.
  • "Before an interview, decide on the impact that you want to make...do it knowingly and deliberately" - Jane Chapman, Development Consultant, Financial Services
  • "Now most jobs require a level of emotional intelligence to fulfill the needs of the role" - Jan Shaw, Associate Director, Barracuda Search
