Description

This thermometer offers a safe, accurate and quick temperature reading. Calculates the water vapor content (relative humidity) of air at a given temperature. Two identical thermometers, one a wet bulb, and the other a dry bulb. Wet bulb thermometer has its bulb wrapped in a tight fitting muslin cloth material (wicking) which is soaked in water. When the thermometers are ventilated, the wet bulb temperature will be lower than the dry bulb temperature. Subtracting the wet bulb reading from the dry bulb reading yields the Wet Bulb Depression.1) Accurate 2) Big Display 3) Hang Easily on Wall 4) High Range (-20 to 50 deg C) Key Features: Size: 290 mm x 90 mm-approx. Weights: 100 Gms approx. Range: Dry 20-500C and 0-1200F Wet: -20 to 50 degree C and 10 to 120 degree F A hygrometer is a tool used to measure the moisture content of the air. When someone wants to report a full humidity reading, such as relative humidity or dew point (two measurements used commonly in weather reports), they would more than likely also have to collect other data, like temperature or atmospheric pressure. A Psychrometer measures the relative humidity in the atmosphere with two thermometers: a dry bulb thermometer is used to measure the temperature by being exposed to the air. A wet bulb thermometer, measures temperature by having the bulb dipped in a liquid. A Psychrometer is actually a rather simple type of hygrometer, an instrument that is used to measure the amount of humidity that is present in the atmosphere. Through the comparison of both temperatures, individuals determine the relative humidity of the surrounding area by calculating the difference between the temperatures. Now that you know the answer to “what is a Psychrometer”, you may be curious about what a Psychrometer chart is. Widely available online or on the back of a Psychrometer device or packaging, a Psychrometer chart makes it easy to find the relative humidity once a reading has been taken. This reduces the need for on-the-fly calculations, which may be difficult to perform when out in the field.
