Dr. Saumitra Mohan is an IAS of the 2002 batch of the West Bengal Cadre. He is presently the commissioner of School Education, Department of Education, Kolkata. Before joining the services, he served as Assistant Regional Director at IGNOU, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Meerut University and as a journalist with Press Trust of India. He has done his MA, Mphil and PhD in International Organization. He has also published approximately 300 article in various National and International Newspapers and Magazines.
