The iStorage IS-DG3-256-500 diskAshur 500GB USB 3.0 256-bit is a Portable Hard Disk Drive with a capacity of 500GB which utilizes a secure access via a personalized 6 digit to 16 digit customizable PIN number, using Military Grade Real-Time 256-Bit AES Hardware Encryption. The data in the disk is encrypted when it is not connected to any device. The device has an Administration Mode which allows one Admin and up to 10 user account PIN codes. The iStorage IS-DG3-256-500 diskAshur 500GB Portable Hard Drive has an in-built Brute Force Hack Defence Mechanism, which is a 3-Pronged approach. The first step includes denying access to the drive unless the PIN is verified. The second step occurs after 6 incorrect attempts, when the drive locks itself and needs disconnection. This feature blocks automated attempts to enter PIN number. After a 100 incorrect PIN attempts, the iStorage IS-DG3-256-500 diskAshur 500GB assumes it is being attacked, destroys the Encryption Key and locks itself, rendering the data useless.
