Description

An useful model which helps to classify magnetic and non-magnetic materials. It works on the behavior of the material when it is placed in a magnetic field. That is whether the given material allows line of forces to pass through it or not. Features : enjoy learning some truly magnetic information about the world of magnetism. Find out what a magnet is, how magnetic fields work, which metals are magnetic and which aren't, how the earth's core relates to magnetism and much more. Read on and have fun learning about magnets! HOW IT WORKS When the strips of copper, brass, aluminum, and plastic are held in the space between the magnet and the washer, the washer remains close to the magnet because the materials do not disrupt the magnetic field that exists due to the presence of the circular magnet. Copper is a diamagnetic substance, aluminium is a paramagnetic substance, brass and plastic are non-magnetic substances. When the strip of iron is held in the same space, the washer falls from its position because iron is a ferromagnetic substance that will disrupt the magnetic field of the circular magnet. The framework is made of plastic material and other handmade parts. This product is designed for a demonstration purpose and single use. Apply your creativity while assembling. Assembly manual is provided with the kit. The project is for demonstration and informational purposes only. All of junior scientist products are unique and handmade. We work by designs and endeavour to create like products. However the very nature of being individually designed by hand gives raw finishing of the projects since it should look that students have created on its own.
