Description The kit demonstrates the fundamental voltage division rule. According to which, Voltage division is the result of distributing the input voltage among the components of the divider. We can understand the voltage division rule very easily from the give circuit. If we assume LDR as a resistor then as per votlage division rule the voltage at point v2 will be equal to V*(R1/(R1+R2). Clearly it can be understood from the given equation that , if the value of R1 changes, then overall voltage at V2 will also change. If we interchange R1 and R2 , then it can be made more senstive. The above concept can be understood in following ways:As the light falls on the LDR, its resistance decreases hence most of the current flow towards LDR. and the brightness of the led decreases and vice versa.
