What is TDS?
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are the total amount of mobile charged ions, including minerals, salts or metals dissolved in a given volume of water, expressed in units of mg per unit volume of water (mg/L), also referred to as parts per million (ppm). TDS is directly related to the purity of water and the quality of water.
What is TDS Meter?
A TDS Meter indicates the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of a solution, i.e. the concentration of dissolved solids in it. Since dissolved ionized solids such as salts and minerals increase the conductivity of a solution, a TDS meter measures the conductivity of the solution and estimates the TDS from that.
How does it work?
There are 3 buttons on the meter i.e- on/off,temp,hold.You need to press the on button first and then dip the meter not more than 2 inches/the length of the cap.If you immerse it completely in the water,the meter may get damaged as its not waterproof.Once you dip it in the water you will get the reading in a few seconds.To keep the reading on the screen press the hold button or it will disappear once it's removed from water.Also you can press the temp button to check the water/air temperature.It has a working range of 0-9990 PPM.
