The original book is in English by name ‘Immortals of Meluha’. Its Hindi translation Meluha Ke Mrityunjaya - Hindi was done after the release of the famous book based on Lord Shiva.
The year was 1900 BC, in what we mistakenly call the Indus Valley Civilisation, the inhabitants of that period called it the 'land of Meluha', a beautiful empire that was created earlier by Lord Ram, one of the greatest rulers. This beautiful empire and the Suryavanshi rulers started to face many risks since the primary river, Saraswati, was drying to extinction. They also had to face disastrous terrorist attacks from the land of the Chandravanshis. The situation worsened when the Chandravanshis allied with the Nagas, a sinister race of deformed humans with extraordinary martial skills. Saving grace for the Suryavanshis was supposed to be an emerging hero. Is the Tibetan immigrant Shiva a hero? Does he really want to be that hero? Amish is famously known for his thriller fictions after the release of his first novel. He is best known for his work ‘Immortals of Meluha’. He is a 36-year-old, IIM (Kolkata) educated banker turned author. He is passionate about history, mythology and philosophy. He currently resides in Mumbai with his wife Preeti and son Neel. He is presently working on the third book of the Shiva Trilogy, The Oath of the Vayuputras.
