Description

Setacolor Light Fabrics colours are water based, transparent, concentrated, intense, vibrant, matt and luminous colours suitable for most light coloured fabrics. The colours can be used on all pre-washed light coloured fabrics: cotton, wool, mesh, knits, jerseys, velvet, jacquard, polyester, blended fibres, unwoven mixed fibres and even leather. With its light texture, Setacolor Light Fabrics does not alter the suppleness and finesse of fabrics. They can be used for sun painting by diluting a volume of paint with two volumes of water. Setacolor Light Fabrics’ rich texture is suitable for many fabric decoration techniques, such as crunching, salt technique, rubber band technique and tie-dye effect. It is imperative to wash new fabrics before using Setacolor Light Fabrics as they are impregnated with sizing, which prevents the paint from penetrating the fibres. Stir the colours well before use.\n\nSetacolor Light Fabrics colours are available in 15 matt colours and 5 fluorescent colours in 45 ml bottles. Fabric artists agree, these fresh, intense colours are truly versatile. These ready to use colours can be used pure or diluted with water to obtain a watercolour effect. Setacolor Light Fabrics is a more concentrated version of Setacolor Soleil (this range has been discontinued by Pebeo). You can dilute Setacolor Light Fabrics with water to arrive at Setacolor Soleil. Both Setacolor Soleil and Setacolor Light Fabrics are intermixable and usable with each other. All colours mix easily and deliver excellent lightfastness.\n\nWe recommend that you use a soft, natural / synthetic fibre brush, such as Pebeo Iris, Princeton VelveTouch, Escoda Prado, Princeton Miniature or any of the semi soft bristle brushes available on our website. Clean the brushes with soap and water before and after use. You can also use other tools such as sponge, dropper, pipette, acetate film / stencil, silkscreen stencil and Setacolor stencil for applying the Setacolor onto the fabric.\n\nAir dry for one hour prior to fixing the Setacolor paint onto the fabric. For fixing the colours, set the knob of the iron to the cotton setting without steam and iron the fabric on the reverse side for 5 minutes. It is also possible to fix the colours onto the fabric in a kitchen oven at 150°C (300°F), at a stable temperature for 5 minutes. However, please be sure that the fabric is stable at this temperature of 150°C. After fixing, the decorated fabrics become resistant to hand washing and machine washing at 40°C (100°F). The fabric also doesn’t stiffen on washing.\n\nFeatures:\n\nWater based, concentrated, transparent, intermixable, intense, ready to use, very covering, vibrant, matt and luminous colours; Colour - Fluorescent Blue, Bottle of 45 ml; Excellent Lightfastness\nSuitable for use on most light coloured, pre-washed fabrics: cotton, wool, cotton wool, knits, jerseys, velvet, jacquard, polyester, blended fibres, nonwovens and even leather; Useful for various fabric decoration techniques such as crunching, salt technique, rubber band technique and tie-dye effect with brushes, pipettes, acetate stencil, bubble wrap, stamps and silkscreen stencils\nAir dry for one hour prior to fixing; for fixing, iron the fabric on the reverse side for 5 minutes at the cotton setting without steam; can also be fixed in a kitchen oven at 150°C (300°F), (at a stable temperature) for 5 minutes; However, please ensure that the fabric remains stable at 150°C.
