About the Author
Nemichandra is a popular Kannada writer. She is known for her travelogue 'Ondu Kasasina Payana' of her experiences in Europe. She has received many awards such as the Karnataka Sahitya Academy, Gorur Award and Ratnamma Hegde Award. She has also composed many songs based on social issues. She is on the editorial board of Achala, a women's magazine and also contributes to it. She began writing from an early age and has written 15 books. She spent her childhood in Tumkur and later moved to Mysore where she completed her schooling and also got a degree in engineering. She is also a senior manager at the Helicopter Design Bureau of HAL, Bangalore.
