In this, the game opens with the Prince and Kaileena ready to set sail to Babylon's port. Kaileena narrates about passed events and the following story. As they near the shores of the city, the Prince removes the medallion from his chest plate and drops it into the sea. Upon his return the Prince is shocked and horrified to discover that the city is currently being ravaged by war. Following an attack he and Kaileena are thrown overboard, where Kaileena is taken prisoner after drifting ashore. When the Prince tries to rescue Kaileena, he meets his old enemy the Vizier, alive and a prisoner. The Vizier kills Kaileena with the Dagger of Time, unleashing the Sands of Time once more and taking them into the Dagger. The Vizier then impales himself with the Dagger to become immortal. In the confusion of his transformation (Vizier) he drops the Dagger which the Prince manages to steal and escape before the sand totally infects him.USP:
It's a combination of exploration and combat with Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones and these two elements enable the Prince to make use of his acrobatic capability and agility. In the process of the game player is required to cross the palace by running across walls, ascending or descending chasms by jumping back and forth between walls, avoiding traps, climbing structures and jumping from platform to platform, making other types of well-timed leaps, solving puzzles and using discovered objects to progress.
