Rich Dad Poor Dad (Hindi), written by Robert T. Kiyosaki, discusses the tale of a person - the narrator and author - who has not one, but two fathers. The first is the poor dad - his biological father and the other is the rich dad who is Mike's father- his childhood best friend.
Throughout the book, the two fathers teach the narrator the ways of achieving success but in very different manners. It becomes pretty evident to the narrator which approach makes more sense financially. The author is seen comparing both the fathers throughout the book. He takes in account their ideas, principles, and financial practices. With a degree of dynamism, the author distinguishes between his poor and struggling, yet highly educated father, against his richer dad in terms of business acumen and asset building. The poor dad is seen as a person who is in a constant scamper in the rat race but is never able to fulfill his dreams for prosperity as he lacks financial literacy. His rich dad, by distinction, constitutes the smaller wealthier fragment of society.
The theme of the books is reduced down to two underlying concepts - the will to achieve and being a fearless entrepreneur. These two concepts are highlighted, as the book provides a multitude of examples for each, focusing on how an individual should have good knowledge of finance and the preconceived belief that an individual's upbringing hampers their financial goals.
