Description

Synopsis

The culmination of years of research by a cultivated mind, Thinking, Fast And Slow is a book which presents a study of the human mind. Through the book, the author attempts to throw light on the dichotomy between two modes of thought. The first one, ‘system one’ is fast, instinctive and emotional, and is compared to ‘system 2’, which, by contrast, is slower, more deliberative, and logical. The starting point of the book is the author’s research on loss-aversion, and highlights the cognitive biases associated with each thought process. Thinking, Fast and Slow discusses the process of framing choices talks about our tendency to substitute easily answered questions for more complicated ones. The book makes a great read when you want to learn the tricks of business.
