I have Prithvi UE100. V1 has the antenna just next to USB port which interferes with Prithvi as its very interference conscious thing. So I have to use a 1 feet long cable (cut and made by myself from a 1.5m one, which does not work). Understand one thing Power and signal are very important. 1. If your modem requires too much power 2. If you recieve very low signal 3. If you connect with a long cable In all these cases your router would not have enough power to power up the device and it may result in frequent modem resets or no connection. When you buy do check the compatibility and also if you see just 3 bars i.e. more than -- 84dBm(non-intuitive but -ive gain value so less is better) in your area then I think you should stay away from a WiFi router. As you would not be able to get stellar speeds you are thinking about. For me currently I get max:110 kB/s(~ 1 Mbps) avg:60kB/s speed on router while 300 KB/s(~ 2.4 Mbps) avg:150kB/s speed when I connect directly with the PC. Apart from all this the router's WiFi network is phenomenal because I have kept it in a room on my roof where EVDO signals are good but I have connectivity in my whole 1000 sq.ft. house. so quite happy with that. So currently I primarily connect my modem to PC but when I don't want to open my PC just to connect my android to the internet I use the router.
I had been searching internet, reading reviews of buyers since last 2 and half month, in search of a good 3G/4G Wi-Fi router. Finally my search comes read more
