Largely through experiences of military conflict, post-traumatic stress has become lodged in our collective consciousness. More recently, attention has turned to numerous circumstances of trauma followed by stress. Ms. Henrys debut collection of poetry, Wafting in Tunnels, invites the reader to gaze at these circumstances in contemporary life. Experienced with post-traumatic stress, the poet has authored a collection that voices traumatic notes, paints an uneven journey, and offers threads of calm. Although, the poet leaves to the reader opportunities to make individual observations about post-traumatic stress terror to journey to calm.
