At times it shows no disk when connected to the computer
must buy, don't get confused with the one that requires a power adaptor as this is a WD strategy, where the externally powered HDD is kept cheaper n information is unclear and ppl tend to buy that one instead of this. It happened to me despite of cross checking with WD & Snapdeal
I'm using this for the past 2 years almost and till now its working very well Pros: Dosen't make noise Very compact and light weight Sturdy design can withstand shock It dosen't gets heated up. i'm using it with USB 3.0 and the data transfer is also very good. No Cons observed.
I had bought this hard disk in may 2013 and after having used it for almost two years I have not faced a single glitch or issue with it. It was delivered to me on time as I recall how badly i needed it to download stuff from DC. The security software is pretty good and you can play with the folders inside it. I found this hard disk to be pretty useful. My computer reads it fast and by god's grace it hasn't broken even after it has fallen many times from my bed and table. *Touchwood*

WD hard disks are great.. light weight.. great performance..

Only product with 2 TB storage that does not require an external power supply. Works well with my Linux box. However doesn't seem to support SMAR read more
The file transfer is slow and most of the times give error and also freezes during transfers.
