This book contains the basic information required by trainee pilots and students, on flight handling and technology behind it. This fifth edition has been updated by Bill Gunston, and is a very reader friendly book. It simply explains the basic principles without complicating the reader with formulas and other technological jargons. This book intends to upgrade the knowledge for students as well as normal readers. It has no mathematical formulas, hence the subject can be well understood by any layman. The book is divided into chapters for clear and systematic understanding. The book introduces some new sections which are updated with current aeronautical developments and illustrative examples.
about the author
Kemode was born in 1897 in the Isle of Man. He joined as a Flight Sub Lieutenant in the year 1916 in Royal Naval Air Service and was soon promoted to Flight Sub Lieutenant early in 1917for his good patrolling services. He has written some great books like Mechanics of Flight, The Aeroplane Structure and Flight Without Formulae.
