About the Author
Starting his career in the Indian Administrative Service in 1978, K.S. Mehra has served in various capacities in the government. H e served as Commissioner of unified MCD from 2008–12 in the rank of Secretary to the Government of India, and as Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Delhi, from 2012–15, after his retirement. Prior to this, he served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles. He was also associated with the development of Delhi as Principal Secretary of various departments including Home, Urban Development, Public Works Department, Land and Building, Food and Civil Supplies, and Labour. He has also been Deputy Commissioner of Delhi and Registrar of Cooperative Societies of Delhi.
