About the Author
Bankim Chandra Chatterjee was a writer, poet, and journalist. He composed Vande Mataram, India’s national song. Chattopadhyay wrote thirteen novels and many serious, serio-comic, satirical, scientific, and critical treaties in Bengali. His works have been widely translated into other regional languages of India as well as in English.
