Description

Author Annie Besant states that this book is intended for those seeking to live the "Higher Life" or are treading the Path of Discipleship. The letters contained in this text express the importance of selfless devotion and service, the beauty of suffering and sacrifice, and the dissolution of the ego. The terminology is Indian but most expressions can be understood without prior knowledge. I recommend this book for anyone interested in the Occult, Theosophy, or are just looking to gain more spiritual insight. This is an inspiring and short book of collected letters about the path of devotion. I have read it all the way through once, and am going to use it in daily meditations one letter at a time. Nothing can happen to the disciple but that which is best for him. Once a person deliberately puts himself into the Hands of the gracious Masters, They see that everything happens at the proper time.
